Gay couples, who participated in the fourth Lesbian Gay Bisexuals Transgenders (LGBT) pride march that was held in the city on Sunday, wanted the society to accept them as they were and not just relegate the issue to just bullying. “We want our parents and society to know that we are a couple and are in a relationship,” says Venkatraman Sunderraj who with his boyfriend Mohandas G K was holding the poster reading “Why can’t I marry my boyfriend?” The duo, who live together in an apartment at Tambaram, say their neighbours and families believe they are just bachelor friends. hey say it is time the government and the society admit that a homosexual relationship is natural. “We also want the security of marriage. We also have the same dreams of registering our marriage and being blessed by our parents,” says Mohandas, who works as human resources manager at a multinational company. Even small things like naming their partner as a beneficiary in an insurance policy or will is not possible, like in a normal marriage, they added.

The couple in fact believes that if they had been open about their relationship while house hunting, their apartment may have never come through. Though it is legalized in more than 13 countries across the globe, adoption by a gay couple is not possible in India because laws do not recognize two men or women as a ‘couple’. The only way a gay person can have a child is by claiming to be a ‘single Hindu male’ during adoption or through surrogacy.

However, marriage is still a distant dream for the LGBT community, say activists. “I think legalizing same sex marriages or adoption rights has a very long way to go in the country. Even the amendment to section 377, decriminalizing gay sex has not been taken up in many states and cities,” says popular gay rights activist Sunil Menon. Several members from outside the community also turned up at the march to show their solidarity. It was particularly heartwarming to see Vinayak Ghunanikar, a retired government employee, proudly wearing a poster that read “I support my gay son”. He had flown down from Pune just for the march.

We cannot come to a conclusion about whether all parents are accepting these boy friends marriage and getting a child thro adoption. Moreover the Doctors and learned people of our society have to guide the younger generation by showing them the proper way to lead their life.

The elaborate profiles a 26 year old man posted on matrimonial sites, under different names and with different addresses, convinced several women that he was their dream man. Each got ‘married’ to him and spent a few days before he fled with her jewellery and cash. One of them, Iniath (name changed) of Triplicane, went to the police and a central crime branch team is now in Bangalore to nab Amir Khan, 26.

Amir Khan Saw Iniath profile in a matrimonial website and got in touch. He claimed he was a software engineer based in Los Angeles and proposed to her. Iniath, police said, flew to Mumbai and met Amir Khan at a hotel. He took her to a sub-registrar’s office where they got married. After a day in the hotel, Khan withdrew Rs 50,000 using Initha’s ATM card citing some reason.

He returned and gave her tea after which she swooned. She woke up and found her jewellery and belongings missing. Iniath called up Khan who said he had gone to meet his brother at Mumbai airport and would return soon. He didn’t. Iniath realised she had been cheated and contacted friends in Pune who sent her money to return to Chennai. Police have slapped a cheating case against Amir Khan who was arrested in Bangalore on Thursday after complaints from several women who were fooled into marrying him. A police team grilled Khan at the commissioner’s office on Saturday following a specific complaint from Iniath (name changed), a BPO employee from Chennai that he had abandoned her in a Mumbai hotel

Police seized a laptop and seven mobile phones from Amir. “We found many photographs of women, their addresses and contact numbers. He had used several SIM cards to talk to women,” a police officer said.

Mostly girls who fall for looks of a guy will get this type of persons. Without informing their parents, they will fall in such traps to get used up and in the end giving police complaints. Many cases the girls get even pregnant and left over to fend for themselves. These girls won’t even consider other eligible ones who are not so nice in looks.   An episode of ‘Thailand’s Got Talent’ has stirred a morality debate after a contestant painted a canvas using her bare breasts. The show, broadcast on Sunday 17-6-2012 on Thailand’s Channel 3, featured 23-year-old Duangjai Jansaunoi, who walked onstage barefoot in jeans and a baggy men’s button-down shirt and introduced herself as an independent artist from the north. She then turned to a large canvas and painted a yellow outline of a person. 


She then removed her shirt, unhooked a black bra and doused herself with paint. She then used her body as a paintbrush to fill in the outline. “If I paint in a normal way, then it would be too ordinary,” she said. In olden days for drawing beautiful lively pictures of ladies the artists will make the ladies in nude position and draw pictures.

The Ramanagaram district magistrate on Friday 15-6-2012 granted bail to controversial godman Nithyananda. Executive magistrate Sriram Reddy directed him not to disrupt social harmony in the vicinity of his Bidadi ashram. The bail order could not be executed because of procedural requirements. This means the godman might be released on Saturday. Nityananda, was taken into preventive custody from a Ramanagaram court and sent to Mysore Central Prison on Thursday. He has two cases pending against him. The god man, who was brought to the century-old Mysore jail at 9.20pm on Thursday, was lodged in barrack No. 19. As a precaution, he was not allowed to mingle with other inmates. He told prison staff on Friday that he slept well. Karnataka C.M.over the Rs 10-crore damage suit filed against him by Nithyananda, on Friday 15-6-2012 said he was ready to face thousands of such cases and go to jail in people’s interest. Reacting strongly to the god man’s accusation that the CM made mala fide decisions, Gowda said: “Action initiated against Nityananda was not aimed at pleasing anybody. I am ready to face thousands of such cases. I am ready to go to jail,” he maintained. TNN In a corporate world, Nithyananda would have been a celebrity for his takeover instincts. Sadly for him, religion is a dicey turf, more so when it is intertwined with riches. Nithyananda should be arrested again for cheating ladies in the name of Yoga therapy and creating restless among people and religion and threatening Chief Minister of Karnataka. He should be arrested under The Karnataka Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug-Offenders, Gamblers, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders and Slum-Grabbers Act (Act 12 of 1985). Nithyananda is not having the qualities of Saint.
