Swamimalai Sri.Swaminatha Swami Temple.[Music.V.Rukmani.]

Swamimalai Sri.Swaminatha Swami Temple.[Music.V.Rukmani.]

அருள் மிகு ஸ்ரீ சுவாமிநாத சுவாமி திருக்கோயில்.

Swamimalai Murugan Temple is a Hindu temple located in Swamimalai, 5 km from Kumbakonam on the banks of river Cauvery. It is one of the Arupadaiveedu, believed to be the six main abodes of Muruga. I have went to this place on 22-4-2012.

In Swamimalai, Lord Muruga is known as "Swaminatha Swami". The specialty of the temple is that it has been built on an artificial hill. In Tamil language, such an artificial hill is called "Kattu Malai". The next important feature is the steps of this small artificial hill. There are 60 steps and each is named in one Tamil year. There are a total number of 60 Tamil years and hence the 60 steps.

The history of the temple known as "Sthala Puranam" is as follows: Once, Lord Brahma, the creator of living beings, had disrespected Lord Muruga (the son of Lord Shiva) at the time of visiting Mount Kailash where Lord Shiva resides. Hence Lord Muruga got angry with Lord Brahma and asked him how he was creating living beings such as people, animals etc. Lord Brahma said that he was creating living beings with the help of the Vedas. On hearing the reply, Lord Muruga asked Lord Brahma to recite the slogans from such Vedas. Brahma started to recite the slogans with the Holy word called Pranav Mantra "Om".

At that time Lord Muruga stopped Lord Brahma and asked him to tell the meaning of the Pranava Mantra. Lord Brahma couldn't tell the meaning and hence Lord Muruga knocked Lord Bramha on his forehead with His clenched fists and punished him with imprisonment. With Brahma imprisoned, Lord Muruga took up the role of the Creator. Creation went better than usual, with

Lord Muruga presiding over Satya-loka and Lord Brahma’s absence was unnoticed. Until one incident which brought the Devas to Satya-loka seeking Lord Brahma caused great surprise to them that Lord Bramha was imprisoned and Lord Muruga wearing the garb of the Creator. They requested Lord Vishnu to negotiate with Lord Muruga in order to release Lord Brahma. Unfortunately, this attempt was not successful. As a final resort, Lord Shiva then went to the rescue of Lord Brahma.

Lord Shiva came to Lord Muruga and asked him to release Lord Brahma from imprisonment. Lord Muruga refused to release him on the grounds, that Lord Brahma was not suitable to do the work, as he did not known the meaning of the Pranav Mantra(Hindi: ॐ AUM).So Lord Shiva asked Lord Muruga whether He knew the meaning Himself and to tell the meaning to him, for he too wished to know It's meaning. To this, Lord Muruga declared that this was the reason why Lord Shiva is the greatest of the Trinity, as he has no ego and willingly gave full respect to him becoming a disciple to Lord Muruga, his preceptor. Lord Muruga extolled to Lord Shiva the meaning of the Pranava Mantra (Hindi: ॐ) who like a student listened with rapt attention from his beloved Son.

This important and interesting incident happened in Swamimalai and hence Lord Muruga is known as "Swaminatha Swami". The meaning of this name is "The Teacher of Lord Shiva".

OM Saravana Bava Saranam.

Samayapuram Sri. Mariamman Temple. அருள் மிகு சமயபுரம் மாரியம்மன் திருக்கோயில்.

Samayapuram Sri. Mariamman Temple. அருள் மிகு சமயபுரம் மாரியம்மன் திருக்கோயில்.

Samayapuram Mariamman Temple is situated on Tiruchirappalli Chennai NH 45, just 20 kms north of Tiruchirappalli town. I have visited this temple on 21-4-2012.The Maariamman Temple here is one of the well visited shrines in Tamilnadu, and in all Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays hundreds of devotees throng the temple and perform Poojas. The offerings are in various forms. The most common offering is the Mavilakku Mavu made of jagery, riceflour, dhal and ghee. Mariamman is a form of Shakti worshipped in Tamilnadu, and is associated with prosperity and health. Local beliefs associate this deity with cures for diseases such as small pox and chicken pox.

It is believed that the processional image of Mariamman was in the possession of the Vijayanagar monarchs and that as their empire neared destruction, this image was brought down to Tamilnadu in an ivory palanquin. It is believed that the palanquin bearers placed image on the ground and paused for rest, and then found themselves to be unable to lift it off the ground.

A temple was then established in the vicinity of Tiruchirappalli, which was later expanded by Vijayaranga Chokkanatha Nayak of Madurai of the 18th century. Samayapuram was the local capital of Vijayanagar rulers and was known as Vikramapuram.

Annual festivals are celebrated during Thai Poosam, and in the Tamil months of Pankuni and Chittirai. The last Sunday of Pankuni marks the commencement of the festival, while the chariot festival is celebrated on the first Tuesday in the month of Chittirai, and the float festival is celebrated a week later. Let Samyapuram Mariamman bless all of us.

Tirunamool member’s uncultured action of stripping a CPM workers wife dresses for damaging hooch shop.

Tirunamool member’s uncultured action of stripping a CPM workers wife dresses for damaging hooch shop.

சாராயக்கடையை சேதப்படுத்தியதற்காக சி,பி.எம். தொண்டரின் மனைவியின் மேலாடையை திருநாமூல் கட்சியினர் உருவினார்கள்.

Times of India in its issue dated 19-4-2012 has stated that Trinamool Congress men beat a 38-year-old woman, confined her near a temple, tore off her clothes and forced her to walk half-naked to her home at Kanaidighi village in West Bengal’s East Midnapore district. The woman incurred the wrath of Trinamool members after she led the women in her area two months ago for damaging a local hooch shop.

After the torture and humiliation in the presence of her 16-year-old son and daughter on Sunday, the woman consumed poison and was admitted to Contai sub divisional hospital.

Police put up a barricade around the hospital to stop “strangers” from meeting the woman. Her younger son Toton and daughter are afraid to return home and are living at the hospital. Her husband Keshab Das is a member of the CPM and had fled home after Trinamool came to power in Bengal.

The woman’s torture was a considered move by the Trinamool men. They took the decision at a village salishi sabha (conciliation meeting) and had the approval of village elders, who wanted the woman to pay a “penalty” for her rebellion that caused a “huge loss to the local hooch trader”.

A few days ago, state food minister Jyotipriya Mullick had prescribed social ostracisation of the CPM in a bid to spread political hatred among Trinamool ranks. Some political observers said the woman’s torture seemed a grim manifestation of the growing intolerance of the ruling party in Bengal.

Das’ younger son Toton mustered courage to lodge a complaint at the police station against 21 local Trinamool members, three days after his mother was tortured. The Trinamool men had threatened him not to talk about his mother’s plight to his neighbours or leak it to the media. In his complaint, Toton said the miscreants had threatened to rape his mother.

Lying in the hospital bed, the woman said, “After the hooch shop demolition, some youth ganged up against my younger son. They accused him of creating ruckus while playing carom. A few days later, some Trinamool men told me to hold a meeting to settle the dispute. I refused.”

So, the Trinamool members organized a meeting and asked her to attend. “At the meeting, they asked me to pay Rs 50,000 as penalty for the damage to the hooch shop. I said I did not do it not alone, there were others, too,” she said.

Police have not made much progress in their probe. Preliminary investigation revealed there was a brawl while playing carom but molestation of the woman is yet to be established.

As per the fundamental rights of Indian constitution every Indian can express his own thoughts and can voice it, if it is not prejudice to our country welfare. As a Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banaerjee must propagate friendship with all party men and she must instruct her minister’s not to preach enmity between our Indian people. In India we are having several religion, parties and castes, but our motto shall be love with all people and live with all.

CPM comrades are our brethrens and Trinamool is trying to destroy social ties between people.

CPM comrades are our brethrens and Trinamool is trying to destroy social ties between people.

சி.பி.எம். கட்சிக்காரர்கள் நமது சகோதரர்கள் அவர்களிடம் வேற்றுமைக்காட்டச்சொல்வது தவறான செயல்.

Trinamool Congress has its way, that there will be no marriages between CPM cadres and the ruling party men as well as their families in Bengal. This is officially laid down party policy adopted to take on the CPM before the panchayat elections in 2013. Food and supplies minister Jyotipriya Mullick has asked partymen not to build any personal relationships with CPM cadres, saying this will weaken the resolve of the party workers to fight the CPM politically. “I am not talking of any violence. I requested our workers to boycott the CPM personally. I told my party workers not to mingle with CPM cadre, not to chat with them at tea stalls or attend social gatherings organised by them,” Mullick told TOI.

“We’ve vowed to boycott the CPM personally. Our workers must ensure that nobody in their family enters into any marital relationship with any CPM leader or supporter,” Mullick said at a party meeting in Habra in North 24-Parganas on 15-4-2012 Sunday. Among those present at the meeting was Trinamool MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar.

“This is important to build resolve among our workers. Should they build personal relationships with the CPM, it will be difficult to fight them politically. I asked the partymen to avoid any relative who has anything to do with the Left,” he said.

In spite of her comprehensive victory in the 2011 Assembly elections, Mamata Banerjee is insecure about the inroads that the CPM has made in rural Bengal over the last 34 years. “We must continue with our tirade against the CPM and take steps to isolate the party that has destroyed growth in Bengal,” he added.

CPI (M) dismissed Mallick’s appeal to the Trinamool workers as “unfortunate, atrocious and ridiculous.”

“Democratic values are at stake because intolerance is being promoted by the highest authorities,” CPI(M) leader Md Salim said Trinamool is trying to destroy the social fabric in a state known for its village culture and ties between people irrespective of caste, creed and religion. He said it is regrettable that the ruling party is developing and promoting enmity between people.

We want that in politics we should not grow enmities between people of different parties. All the party people are Indians. CPI Marxist comrades are our brethrens.

To avoid partition of separate states in India Mahatma Gandhi asked Jinnah to take the post of Indian Prime Minister and all people know about that. As Indians we must cultivate friendship among ourselves irrespective of Party differences. Tirunamool Congress should not create enmity between their party members and their family friends..

The dance of Shiva represents the rhythm and movement of the world spirit.

The dance of Shiva represents the rhythm and movement of the world spirit.

சிவனின் ஆனந்தத்தாண்டவம் உலக நன்மைக்காகவே அமைந்துள்ளது.

It is actually a scientific explanation of our Hindu Prevedic culture and civilization which prevailed in early Kumari Kandam and Lemuria. The dance of Shiva represents the rhythm and movement of the world spirit. One can witness the dance of Shiva in the rising sun, in the waves of the ocean, in the rotation of the planets, in the lightning and thunder and in the cosmic pralaya. The whole cosmic play or activity or leela is the dance of Shiva.

Vikramathithya stories are all imaginary and most of them are about love affairs.

Vikramathithya stories are all imaginary and most of them are about love affairs.

விக்கிரமாதித்தன் கதைகளில் காதல் காட்சிகளே அதிகம் உள்ளன.

In Vikramathithya stories we cannot say that any moral principle is available for young children. All the stories are told of adult nature i.e., how a man can have love affair with a girl and how a prostitute copulate a man for her personal benefits.

I have told some paragraph of the stories for you and you can purchase the Vikramathiya stories in Tamil and can spell out your opinion.
