With 15 MP’s DMK got five ministers in Centre but refused share with Congress in Tamil Nadu.
Former Union minister and irrepressible state Congress leader E V K S Elangovan fired yet another salvo against ally DMK, accusing the government of “blacking out” the achievements of the Congress-led government at the Centre. Times of India explained this news in its issue dated 5-8-2010.
In what is seen as another potential irritant in the Congress-DMK alliance ahead of the crucial assembly elections due next May, Elangovan said the DMK government refused to give due “credit and publicity” to the Centrally-sponsored schemes implemented by the Congress-led UPA regime at the Centre. Though the Central government offered rice at a subsidised rate, the DMK government in Tamil Nadu projected it as ‘Kalaignar’s one rupee one kg rice scheme’. Also, the emergency ambulance scheme 108 was fully funded by the Central government, but the DMK government claimed full credit for the scheme.
Though Tamil Nadu Congress president K V Thangkabalu directed partymen not to talk on issues of alliance, Elangovan who was earlier instrumental in breaking the Congress-AIADMK alliance through his explosive statements, continues to lash out at Congress’s present ally, the DMK. At a meeting of the party’s youth wing activists on Wednesday, Elangovan also criticised the DMK for ‘refusing’ to share power with the Congress in Tamil Nadu, though it was short of majority in the assembly.
“With 15 MPs, the DMK has got five ministers at the Centre. But the DMK does not want to share power in Tamil Nadu,” he charged. He called upon the Congress partymen to strive hard towards bringing in Congress rule in Tamil Nadu. Later, Elangovan told TOI that his remarks were not aimed at provoking the DMK leadership. “At the meeting, party cadres felt that Congress was not being given its due by the DMK. So, I reflected the views of the party cadre.” He refused to comment on whether he was opposed to the continuance of the DMK-Congress alliance. “Alliance issues will be decided by the party high command,” he said
In our conclusion we have to say that the Independence of India was attained from the British Rulers by scarifying several thousands of Martyrs and in their blood only we have achieved our goal. In Tamil Nadu Great leaders like Karmaveerar Kamaraj, Bakthavathsalam, C.Subramaniam, Mootharingnar Rajaji have tirelessly worked for the development of Congress Party and people and they have run the Congress Government with purity and ethical code of conduct and they have been appreciated by all.
Now E.V.K.S. Elangovan has openly told to his party men to strive hard towards bringing in Congress rule in Tamil Nadu which everybody will appreciate.

Justice must be same for both Minister and I.A.S.officer.
Justice must be same for both Minister and I.A.S.officer.
Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers MK Alagiri will no longer have to fight shy of Parliament on the ground that he is not well-versed in English or Hindi.
An arrangement has now been worked out by Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar by which the minister would be able to face Parliament effectively. The Speaker has told him that he could answer main question by reading out the reply in English and the supplementary could be fielded by his deputy Srikant Jena.
Parliament sources described it as a "fair solution" as it would solve the language problem being faced by Alagiri, a senior DMK leader and son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi. Alagiri had been keeping away from the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha for most of the time as he is not comfortable speaking in English or Hindi and wants to speak in Tamil.
But at present in Tamil Nadu fresh recruits to the civil services, all non-Tamil IAS officers in Tamil Nadu have to clear 10th class level Tamil exam. And the Tamil department frequently inspects files of various government officers to find out if they write in Tamil. All government offices have been provided with PCs with Tamil keyboards. Chief Minister M Karunanidhi made a fervent appeal to the bureaucrats on Monday to write their file noting in Tamil.
But several non-Tamil officers, mostly north Indians, who comprise over 60% of the IAS and IPS officers in Tamil Nadu, say writing a few words in Tamil is fine, but “writing two or three pages of Tamil” would lead to time delay and “avoidable flaws”.
“When I accept the recommendations of my subordinates, I write “Yerkalam” (can be accepted)” and when I wish to reject, I write “vendam” (no). But beyond that, I would require the help of my secretary. And obviously, it would take a longer time to clear files if we stick to Tamil,” says a secretary-level officer who is from Andhra Pradesh.
Retired Tamil speaking officer, who served in Punjab, said, “Such instructions to write notes in local language will not contribute to the efficiency in administration, for the officers have to be proficient in that language to understand the notes written by his subordinates in Tamil. If he is not proficient then it leads to problems.” When he worked in Punjab, he wrote in Hindi if it was a one-line note but if it was a detailed note, he always preferred English.
Now, some of the north Indian IAS officers too make a conscious effort to put in Tamil words in their files. “However they say, we find speaking in Tamil at public forums is far more difficult than writing in Tamil.” Indeed, at many government functions, when non-Tamil IAS officers rattle off in Tamil, ripples of giggles float around the auditoriums. For most of the officers say “amateur”[அமைச்சூர்] instead of “amaichar” [அமைச்சர்] (minister).
Periar in his magazine “Kudi Arasu “dated 20-1-29 says if a common language is required for India that must be English. Our Chief Minister Kalaignar who is following the foot step of Periar may kindly think over the justice rendered to his son and not to compel I.A.S. officers to prepare statements in Tamil which may create administrative delays and problems

Horlicks bottles and Union Minister Alagiri
Horlicks bottles and Union Minister Alagiri
AIADMK General Secretary Selvi Jayalalitha suspected a link between the disappearance of a consignment of the beverage and the free distribution of Horlicks to the people at a recent medical camp in her Andipatti constituency by Union minister M K Alagiri.
Referring to reports that about 9,000 bottles of Horlicks, brought from Haryana to a godown near Sholavandan in Madurai district, went missing on July 12, she said the lorry owner had to move the Madurai bench of the Madras high court after the police refused to register a complaint.
Alleging that Alagiri had doled out bottles of the beverage to about 8,700 people at Andipatti on July 18 as part of chief minister M Karunanidhi’s birthday celebrations, Jayalalithaa said there was a suspicion among the public whether there was a link with the bottles that disappeared. She also demanded that the state government recommend a CBI probe into the incident as the Union minister was suspected to have a “link”.
We request the Tamil Nadu Government to find out the real culprits who have stolen the Horlicks Bottles and to clear the doubts from peoples mind.

Actor S.V.Sekar and politics with Dravidian parties.
Actor S.V.Sekar and politics with Dravidian parties.
S.V.Sekar is a Tamil playwright and a film actor known best for his humor and for his public welfare initiatives. In 2006, he made an entry into politics by contesting and winning the Legislative Assembly Elections as an All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) candidate from Mylapore.
On June 2009 he decided to start his own party after he had issues with AIADMK, and was expelled from the party, due to anti-party activities. In Feb 2009 he started Brahmins Association under the banner FEBAS . He was expelled from ADMK on 30 July 2009. He is currently an unattached member in the tamil nadu legislative assembly (not representing any political party)
In the name of forward caste, Brahmins are being deprived of their right in getting employment and in other aspects. Sri.S.V.Sekhar Tamil Nadu M.L.A. came forward for fighting and getting Seven Percent Reservation for Brahmins like other caste people. When other caste people are having their own caste association for raising their grievances, S.V. Sekar gave the voice for the poor people in the Brahmin community for getting their legitimate rights.
But it is not known why he has joined with DMK, knowing that Kalaignar always having the caste feelings to achieve his political power and let down Brahmin community, and having a tendency of criticizing Hindu Gods. Kalaignar actually having the assistance of Brahmins for his Yoga practice, medical treatment and other official guidance but always criticize them as upper caste.
Brahmins never created any caste feelings with anybody and they have contributed a lot for Tamil language and for the freedom of our Indian Country. But the so-called Dravidian parties in Tamil Nadu, who supported British rulers, are nourishing the caste parties for getting votes in elections and to want to retain their Kingdom in politics.
It is our request to S.V.Sekar to perform a programme and to donate the money for the cause of our Tamil brothers, who have been slaughtered in Tamil Eelam, and standing their as slaves in their own mother land. Peace and mental satisfaction will come only by helping helpless orphans.
We are now telling the story about S.V.Sekar as published by Kumudam Reporter in its issue dated 29-7-2010.

Who has plotted for Rajiv’s assassination in India?
Who has plotted for Rajiv’s assassination in India?
Former Indian Prime Minister Rajjiv Gandhi's last public meeting was on 21 May 1991, in Sriperumbudur, a town approximately 30 miles from Chennai, where he was assassinated while campaigning for the Sriperumbudur Lok Sabha Congress candidate Mrs Maragatham Chandrasekhar in Tamil Nadu.
Jain commission was appointed by Narasimha Rao in August 1991, three months after Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime Minister, was assassinated in pursuance of a diabolical plot, carefully conceived and executed by a highly organized foreign terrorist organization. Sixteen innocent lives were lost and many sustained grievous/simple injuries." The names of others who died during the explosion were as follows: P K Gupta (personal security officer to Rajiv Gandhi), Latha Kannan, Kokilavani, Iqbal (superintendent of police), Rajakuru (inspector of police), Edward Joseph (inspector of police), Ethiraj (sub-inspector of police), Sundaraju Pillai (police constable), Ravi (commando police constable), Dharman (police constable), Chandra (woman police constable), Santhani Begum, Darryl Peter, Kumari Saroja Devi and Munuswamy.
The 5,280-page report of Jain, comprising eight volumes of interim findings and nine volumes of annexure bound in black rexine, holds Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and his DMK responsible for abetting Rajiv Gandhi's murderers. Also blamed are two former prime ministers, V.P. Singh and Chandra Shekhar, for their laxity in assessing the threat to Rajiv.
The interim report of the Jain commission created a storm when it accused Karunanidhi a role in the assassination, leading to Congress withdrawing its support for the I. K. Gujral government and fresh elections in 1998.
It is a notable mention that the current Congress government led by Manmohan Singh supported by Sonia Gandhi, wife of Rajiv Gandhi has Karunanidhi as one of its allies.
LTTE spokesperson Anton Balasingham already told the Indian television channel NDTV that the killing was a "great tragedy, a monumental historical tragedy which we deeply regret.” Even after several years, the people of India are still anxious to know about that who has plotted for Rajiv’s assassination in India? If Congress Government wants to stay in people’s heart, they must reveal the truth.
