We will cooperate with the investigating officials,” said Rajendran. However, the Chennai police will investigate the cases of cheating and intimidation against the godman, he said.

The petition was referred to the crime branch police which registered a case against the godman under Section 295 A (outraging religious sentiments) and 420 (cheating) of IPC.


Nithyananda advocate Sridhar says, after getting legal protection for Nithyananda , he will come outside and meet the people and prove himself as innocent.
